Thor: Work in Progress.

Hey, guys! Been a while, yes a while. Anyway, thought I'd come on the blog and do a little step-by-step of how I work my drawings. Here we go!

In the first picture, you'll see I have the figure set in the foreground, now before I even did this, if you see on the upper right a little grey sketch line going horizontally, this is my horizon line, I always set that up first. After I know my perspective and the fine details of what Im gonna do, I rough in the figure, luckily I this one, I had a good idea of the pose and the structure visually was already familiar to me so I just went straight in with minimal line work and got the figures form down.

In the second picture, I start roughing all the key points now. Did facial features, worked the layout of the hair even more, start placing clothing points and added pieces of my background in the piece. I usually move all over the place, since I get ideas at every moment so I try to put them in as soon as I think of them.

In the next one, worked out the background even more, tried figuring out a hand pose for the left arm and worked a little more on the air.

The final one has more of the foreground sketched in and most of the important designs down, I noticed after I scanned, this I was happy with the arm, in the new one, you'll see it'll be posed differently cause this one looked like he was gonna break his wrist and it felt too stiff.

So, there's a short idea, I'll come back and update this with the final sketches. Should have it done by this saturday. Enjoy, guys!
